The race for America’s Favorite Houseguest in Big Brother Season 28 is reportedly split among fans, with all 17 houseguests from the current series eligible to win a substantial cash prize.
As the show approaches its finale next Thursday on CBS, viewers have been casting daily votes to crown their favourite player, who will receive $50,000.
Who is Eligible for America’s Favorite Houseguest?
According to Gold Derby, every participant in Big Brother Season 28 is eligible for the America’s Favorite Houseguest title. This includes the four remaining competitors still vying for the main $750,000 grand prize, as well as the jury members and the pre-jurors who have already left the house.
Fans can vote daily for their preferred houseguest. While pre-jurors had their moments, it is suggested that those who made it to the jury phase might have an advantage due to greater screen time, as noted by Gold Derby.
The Contenders for the Fan Favourite Prize
The pool of eligible houseguests is broad, encompassing players from various stages of the game:
- Still competing in the Big Brother house: Dee Valladares, Drew Campbell, Rick Devens, and Taylor Brown.
- Currently in the jury house: LaTrice “Lala” Verrett, Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, Yash Patel, and Melody Morris.
- Pre-jurors (who have been watching from home): Ashley Trail, Rome Seymour, Jason De Puy, Lyric Medeiros, Chuk Anyanwu, Kamu Kirk, Mallory Aurichio, and Haley Thogmartin. Gold Derby specifically highlights Jason De Puy, who previously won the Big Brother: Unlocked vote for Most Entertaining Houseguest.
Past winners of America’s Favorite Houseguest include notable names such as Tucker Des Lauriers (Season 26), Keanu Soto (Season 27), Taylor Hale (Season 24), and two-time winner Jeff Schroeder (Seasons 11 and 13).
