Music enthusiasts in the UK and beyond can anticipate a significant event this Black Friday, as Record Store Day Black Friday 2026 is set to offer more than 150 exclusive releases to independent record shops. The event, an extension of the annual Record Store Day celebration, will take place on Friday, 27 November, providing unique vinyl and CD opportunities for collectors.

Record Store Day Black Friday 2026 Details

Record Store Day Black Friday aims to provide music lovers with access to material that is either previously unreleased, not available in a specific format, or long out of print, according to Variety. The 2026 lineup, which includes approximately 185 exclusive titles, will be available in independent retail shops the morning after Thanksgiving. While historically focused on vinyl, this year’s event also features a growing number of CD releases.

The event, founded in 2008 to support independent music retailers, has evolved over the years. Pitchfork notes that while it has been criticised by some as “bloated” and a “clearinghouse for increasingly ridiculous rarities,” there remain “gems” worth seeking out. A full list of releases and participating stores will be available on the official Record Store Day website.

Key Releases and Artists

The 2026 roster features a diverse array of artists, from established icons to newer generation acts. Billboard highlights several notable releases:

  • Noah Kahan: Fans can look forward to two exclusive items. “The Last of the Bugs,” a 12-inch EP pressed on 180-gram Alpenglow vinyl, includes four bonus tracks from his album “The Great Divide”: “Orbiter,” “Lighthouse,” “Staying Still,” and “A Few of Your Own.” Additionally, a 7-inch single of “Draw You Out” from “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” soundtrack will be available on “porcelain powder”-colored vinyl.
  • KATSEYE: The K-pop group will release “KATSEYE: The Dance Breaks,” a 12-inch yellow vinyl EP featuring live dance-break arrangements of “Debut,” “Gnarly,” and “Gabriela” from their “Beautiful Chaos” tour. The release includes an etching on the flip side and 2 of 6 randomly selected unique photocards.
  • Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band: A live recording, “Live at Tower Theater Philly 1975,” will be released as a 4-LP vinyl set (14,500 copies) and a 2-CD set (3,720 copies). This 18-song performance from New Year’s Eve 1975 captures the band after the release of “Born to Run.”
  • Prince: “3121 Las Vegas Live” will be available as a 3-LP Crystal Blue Caraçao vinyl set (9,400 copies) and a 2-CD set (2,700 copies). This over two-hour-plus set from Prince’s January 2007 Las Vegas residency includes hits and covers, featuring a guest appearance by Mavis Staples.
  • Nostalgia and Archival: The lineup includes several releases catering to fans of classic artists, such as a clear-vinyl edition of The Rolling Stones’ “Aftermath” with additional package extras, and zoetrope editions of George Harrison’s “33 1/3” and his self-titled album. Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band’s “Night Moves” receives a 50th-anniversary pressing, while Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ‘N Roll” gets a “Shadow Album” edition. Vinyl debuts include Barenaked Ladies’ “Born on a Pirate Ship” and “Rock Spectacle.”
  • Live Performances and Soundtracks: Beyond the previously mentioned, the event will see live sets from artists including Joni Mitchell, Marianne Faithfull, Funkadelic, and Billy Joel. Soundtracks such as a “Wicked” package (combining music from both chapters) and a “KPop Demon Hunters” holographic-art variant are also expected.
